Course Description

We all have experienced feelings of guilt, regret, and shame, which may create a multitude of mental health issues. These feelings can arise from having done something to another person, feeling that we should or should not have done something, or feeling so poorly about ourselves for our choices that we feel shame. This presentation aims to make the distinction between guilt, regret, and shame. This class will explore the negative and positive implications of these thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Also, it will provide clinicians with the skills to help heal those who suffer from reduced self-esteem, poor life satisfaction, and the negative impact on interpersonal relationships.
